Sunday Notes

Issue 14 · 5 May 2026

Repot day. The Pink Princess split into three.

I usually wait until after the equinox to do any major repotting, but the Pink Princess was outgrowing her pot and I couldn't help myself. Three healthy nodes came off cleanly — one stays with me, two are listed above. The variegation on this batch is the most extreme I've ever grown, which means she's also the most fussy. Don't let her dry out, don't let her sit wet. Bright indirect, weekly water, and don't move her around.

This week's drop also has a single Monstera Albo node from my bedroom mother, and four Crystal Anthuriums I propagated in February. Sunday delivery — I pack everything Saturday night.

About Aroid Society

I started growing rare aroids in my mum's HDB balcony in 2022, mostly because I was tired of buying overpriced plants from places that didn't know what they were selling. By 2024, the balcony had taken over the kitchen, and I rented a small greenhouse in Bukit Timah.

Everything I sell, I've grown myself or propagated from a plant I've grown myself. Nothing imported. No mystery cuttings. If a plant comes from me, I know its parent.

House rules

  • Sunday-only shipping. I pack Saturday night, post early Sunday — fewer days in transit.
  • SG-only for now. Plants don't enjoy long flights and quarantine.
  • Free return-and-replace if the plant arrives damaged. Photo within 48h.
  • Care guide included with every plant. I check in two weeks later.
  • Cuttings come rooted. If you want unrooted nodes, ask me — sometimes possible.
